to inspire and be inspired

Bonjour! Books and Baguettes is a lifestyle blog following my 22-year-old self across the world from New York to Paris. Here you'll find a collection of photographs and short stories of what I experience as I leave New York, hunt for apartments in Paris, go to graduate school, meet new friends, travel around Europe, become fluent in French, find a job, and embrace life in the City of Light. Through words and photos, I hope to capture life in its beautiful, simplest form, little reminders that the most precious moments in life are sometimes right in front of us.

About Me

Growing up in England, China and the United States, I've always known that I would never stay in one country my whole life. Somebody once told me that living in different cities was like being able to experience several lives in one lifetime. And it's true - changing environments bring about different sides of me, altering the way I think, feel and behave. At the end of the day, it's these experiences that I take with me, influenced by the cultures and people I meet, that molds and shapes my identity, making me uniquely me.

My journey to Paris is a little adventure I'd like to accomplish in my 20s. In the next few years, I hope to assimilate into French culture, become fully trilingual (French, Chinese and English), meet incredible people, and somewhere along the way, discover a fulfilling career that can not only satisfy me personally and intellectually, but also benefit others in the world.

I received my bachelor's degree in 2013 from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in finance and psychology. After graduation, I worked in Media in New York for one year before moving to Paris to study at HEC Paris and joining my longterm boyfriend here. :)
